THE BEGINNING

Our Story

A project born from respect for the land and its people

Mintaka Opoint is not just another camp. It is a new way of experiencing the Kenyan wilderness — intimate, responsible, and deeply connected to the land and its people.

Located within the Nooriro Community Conservancy near Amboseli, we are creating a place where refined simplicity meets genuine conservation and community partnership.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

Why Mintaka Opoint is different

Intimate Scale

Only a small number of luxury tents, designed to exist quietly within the landscape, not dominate it.

Community Partnership

Genuine collaboration with the Maasai community. Revenue directly supports local livelihoods and conservation efforts.

Ethical Wildlife

Non-intrusive observation. We prioritize the wellbeing of animals and the integrity of the ecosystem.

Experiences at Mintaka Opoint

• Self-drive safaris into Amboseli National Park
• Guided walks with Maasai trackers inside the conservancy
• Private plunge pools and quiet decks with sweeping views
• Authentic cultural encounters with the local Maasai community
• Peaceful moments along the hills of the conservancy
• A true sense of place and quiet responsibility
